Implantable System for Determining Accommodation Need

The invention relates to an implantable system for determining accommodation need in an artificial accommodation system by means of measuring eyeball orientation comprising a) at least one optical system (3), b) at least one information recording system (8) having means for recording the eyeball orientation of both eyeballs as an autologous control signal for the accommodation need, c) at least one information processing system (9) for generating an actuating signal for the optical system (3) from the recorded autologous control signals d) at least one power supply system (10) and e) at least one fastening system, wherein there are transmission means for the mutual exchange of information between the means for recording the eyeball orientation of the respective eyeballs, characterized in that the system has in each eye a means for recording the eyeball orientation of the respective eyeball on the basis of measurement of the external acceleration field, wherein the means for recording the eyeball orientation are permanently connected to the respectively related eyeball or integrated therein.
