The method involves forming an elongate semi finished product (10) from glass, ceramics, whisker or carbon fiber reinforced polymer by fine grinding in a hollow grinding device. The semi finished product is moved in the hollow grinding device by rotating a tool. A dipping bath is sealed in a low viscous solution of a matrix polymer.
