Dual panel window shade apparatus
A dual panel roller window shade apparatus includes an outer panel, an inner panel, a canopy, and a cord. The panels are radially spaced and rigidly attached to the spool at respective circumferential points. In operation, the spool is selectively operable via the cord such that the panels move generally vertically up and down relative to each other. A plurality of corresponding positive and negative designs may be formed on the panels.Looking to sell the rights for my patent formerly leased to HunterDoulas. They have patented around me (slightly) and discontinued royalties. The product is still awesome but there are not that many other 800 pound gorillas to lease to these days. This was the original patent in 2000 but I had since filed and received an improvement on the 720 patent not long ago so there are many years let running for me to use the patent as I please. If the economy picks up and the industry gets moving there might be some action for this patent with any other manufacturer. Or your company could just build it and sell it yourself. Its obviously a proven product they are currently available as Overtones Sheer Shades by Comfortex a subsidiary of Hunter Douglas. The horizontal version is the one that I will part with, the vertical version is just now clearing the USPTO and has yet to be introduced to the US market. I'm undecided about doing business with HunterDouglas or its subsidiaries again and I would warn against. I'm currently focused on the patio door (vertical) version of this shade and lease options I can get in the future and willing to auction off both horizontal (original and revised) to the highest bidder.
To be clear this auction is for two HORIZONTAL window blind patents (both active) one original and one new and improved with modified bottom rail. This would keep you in the game for a good while.
