This invention relates to a clothes hanger that is inexpensive to produce, has a split horizontal bar so that garments may be slipped on and off the bar by parting the legs of the bar and wherein the legs are jointly engagable for securing the garment after it is engaged with the hanger. For example this hanger does not need to be removed from the closet hanger suspension bar when removing or placing trousers onto the hanger. That is very advantageous specifically when removing trousers in crowded closets and/or the hanger has a coat draped over it because one does not have to remove the hanger from the closet and then try to put it back.
