Purification of Laminin 5
Background: Lamin-5, a protein produced by skin, mammary and other epithelial cells, may be involved in the progression of cancer. Purified human laminin-5 is not commercially available, and we have developed a purification procedure that may make it more available to the research community. Technology: The novel method method yields 1-2 mg of pure laminin 5. This process is unique because it produces pure, soluble non-denatured laminin-5. Application: The proposed purification is improvement over prior art because it is simpler, does not require antibodies, or does not result in the denaturation of the protein.Type of Offer: Licensing
