SMAC KO Lines for Drug Discovery
Second mitochondrial-derived activator of caspase (SMAC; also known as Diablo) gene knockouts of the human colorectal carcinoma cell line, HCT116. Details are described in the paper by Kohli et al., 2004 Description (Set) Proposed Use (Set) The cell lines described in this invention can be used in screens for novel molecules that target the mitochondrial death pathway in human cancer cells or to confirm the specificity of drugs discovered through other approaches.
