Glutamate Receptor Antibodies

Sub-unit specific anti-peptide antibodies which have been developed against the predicted amino acid sequences of several rat glutamate receptor CDNAs. Description (Set) Proposed Use (Set) The ability to identify these proteins in post-mortem human tissues allows examination of the level of the changes in levels of receptor sub-types that occur in a variety of neurological and psychiatric diseases. This method is superior to auto radiography in that it is more sensitive and quantitative , and allows for discrimination between receptor sub-types.
