Abstract:
This invention can be used for multiple purposes and measures including: the measuring of flow-rates, turbulence and dispersion; fluid identification; and monitoring information on instantaneous changes in flow conditions, other time-varying characteristics of multiple fluids, or multiple states of a single fluid in a flowline, pipe, mixing/holding container, tank or other vessel. The device is capable of monitoring/detecting the purity of a fluid in a line or reservoir, the nature of a flow such as turbulent or laminar flow, the differing conditions at the top, bottom, and sides of the flow in a line, and the conditions of flow simultaneously or sequentially at multiple locations upstream or downstream in a flow line.
