The National Aeronautics and Space Administration seeks partners to commercialize the Three Degree of Freedom Parallel Mechanical Linkage (patent number 5,816,105). This linkage was developed to achieve a low-friction, high-stiffness mechanism that transfers the rotation and torque from three fixed-base motors to three dimensional translational end-effector displacements.
