Abstract:
The Ammonia Monitor Including Solid Phase pH Conditioning and a Liquid-Liquid Exchange Module is a new kind of analytical instrument that measures ammonia dissolved in water. It provides continuous, real-time determination of the concentration of ammonia and ammonium in an aqueous process stream. The invention uses a "flow injection analyzer" that injects a sample into a flowing stream. The device is computer controlled, reagentless, and requires no preparation of the sample.
