A Virtual Electrochemical Laboratory

This software-based invention simulates a laboratory environment that enables students to understand how common electrochemical experiments are performed. Easily installed on a Microsoft Windows platform, the virtual lab allows students to explore a research environment, conduct experiments by trial and error, and develop an electrochemical setup to acquire data and analyze results. The software includes common electrochemical experiments under a wide variety of physical and chemical conditions. The software would be an effective tool in science or engineering courses and other training or certification environments.

As career and lifestyle demands increase for employees in technical fields, the need for convenient, efficient means of education and ongoing training has increased. This invention can be used as the basis for an independent-study or certification course. It can also form a highly effective part of a degree-based curriculum.
