System for Transporting Drugs and Medical Materials in Hospital

Provided is a system for transporting drugs and medical materials in a hospital wherein drugs and medical materials required in each ward can be mounted previously on a tray which is a unit of transportation or use, and a plurality of trays can be set in a tray cart and kept in a transportation standby state on a tray cart basis, trays can always maintain a horizontal transportation position regardless of whether rails in a transportation section are horizontal or vertical, continuous traveling with no interruption can be ensured regardless of whether rails in a transportation section is horizontal or vertical or even at a location where rails intersect or charge directions, and transported drugs and medical materials for a plurality of days of supply can be stocked on a tray basis at each destination station or can also be stocked on the basis of a tray cart which can hold a plurality of trays. At a pharmacy (2), drugs and medical materials for wards 3-10 for a plurality of days including the current day and the next day are mounted on a plurality of trays (T), at least one or a plurality of trays out of the plurality of trays (T) mounting the drugs and medical materials for the wards 3-10 are mounted on a mobile carriage (MC), and destination data attached, at the stations 2S-10S of the pharmacy (2), to each tray (T) or to the drugs and medical materials mounted on each tray is used to transmit (deliver) the carriage to the station 2S-10S of each ward 3-10. At the station 2S-10S of each ward 3-10, a tray (T) carried on the mobile carriage (MC) is received at a receiving section, i.e. a tray cart (TC) set in a storage rack facility 13-15, a tray (T) mounting the drugs and medical materials for use in the ward on the current day is mounted on the tray cart (TC) and transported to a use place, or a tray (T) mounting the drugs and medical materials for use on the next or subsequent day is stored in the tray holding section, transferred automatically from the tray holding section to a tray cart (TC) on the next or subsequent day and transported to a use place.
