Sorting apparatus

The apparatus has a transport device (12) e.g. transport belt, conveying piece goods e.g. preforms (5), in a direction of a sorting arrangement (10) e.g. disk sorter. Displacement devices e.g. pivotable plates (6a-6d), are arranged above the transport device and are in contact with the goods temporarily and displace the goods relative to the transport device. The arrangement comprises rollers (14, 16) arranged parallel to one another, where the rollers rotate about longitudinal directions (L1,L2) and are configured such that the piece goods are transported along the rollers. An independent claim is also included for a method for sorting piece goods.
