Data Transfer Optical Electronic Device

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer optical electronic device 300 operated in a pulse organization, which emits a pulsed laser beam, and including: an active section 106 having an active element component which generates optical gain when a forward bias is applied; an absorption section 206; a wave guide 103 which contains the active section and the absorption section; and mirrors 116, 117 which make light return, while the waveguide is arranged between the mirrors. ; SOLUTION: This invention includes an additional modulator 306, a refractive index which is modulated by photoelectric effect, and a means 213 for providing modulation of the refractive index of the modulator. The refractive index of the additional modulator is so changed that the repetition frequency of the output pulse laser beam varies, and further the waveguide 103 includes the additional modulator 306. ; COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
