Method and Device for Supporting Properties of an Object in a Medium

The invention relates to a method to support the properties of an object in a medium and the use of the method and a device to carry out the method. According to the invention, a method is provided to support properties of an object in a medium, wherein an object in the medium is illuminated and then an optical signal from the object is detected. The optical signal is converted into a plurality of surface signals and then processed by way of applying a mathematical method to the plurality of surface signals for the calculation of a plurality of features thereof, and thus for the production of a plurality of electronic values representing signal features. Thereafter, the signal features of the object are compared to the stored signal features of one or more calibrating samples for the production of at least one value corresponding to the investigated property.
