A client is seeking genes and pathways causing enhancement of soybean yield.

They are seeking genes and pathways with demonstrated ability to increase total soybean yield using demonstration crops in the approximate preference soybean > other legumes > brassica's and Arabidopsis.

The project's main objective is to generate soybean lines showing 5% or higher increase in yield (total seed weight per acre) under high yielding conditions by using a GM approach. Larger seeds or variation in protein and oil content are out of scope for this project as well as ethylene and photosynthesis related pathways.

The client is seeking genes or pathways that either:
  1. Increase the number of seeds per pod; or
  2. Increase the number of pods per plant.

  • Only leads with high quality supporting data are sought.
