A client needs help to find research laboratories or contract research organizations (CRO) that have a proven process for genetic transformation of sunflower (Helianthus spp.) that results in the creation of fertile, transgenic sunflower plants. Ideally, the process has a transformation efficiency of more than five percent.
They are interested in identifying both researchers and contract research organizations that:

Ideally, the process has a transformation efficiency of more than five percent.
They are interested in identifying both researchers and contract research organizations that:
- Are currently conducting research on genetic transformation of sunflower or have very recent experience (i.e., published within the past three years) that specifically demonstrates the ability and knowledge to transform sunflower;
- Have proof (e.g., experimental data, reports, publications) of successful transformation and regeneration of sunflower within the past three years; and,
- Are interested in providing transformation services, collaborating, or licensing their sunflower transformation and regeneration technology.
