Award: R75,000 as a cash prize, and seed funding of R175000

The 2012 edition of the competition is looking for innovations that address key service delivery challenges in the province within two themes; mobile and green technologies. Municipalities and key sector stakeholders have assisted us in identifying seven high priority opportunities within the two themes.

There is a total of R1 million in prize money for the competition, which will be divided between the two themes. To be eligible for a prize, you will need to submit a concept which addresses one or more of the focus areas highlighted above. Concepts need to show innovation in the technology being used, the application of the technology, or the proposed business model.
