Daniel Benito's Problem Solving Experience:
- All the metal doors were required to have inside insulation. The materials on hand were just the metal sheets and 4"thick Styropore boards. The men were hard-up in cutting the styropore into 2" thick. I designed a 4 x 8 table with a nichrome wire across taken from a discarded HVAC unit powered by an auto-transformer to cut the styropore smmothly to the required 2"thick. If this sound so simple now. It wasn't that way in the early 80's.
- I've design-construct the Light (sun) Control Panels in Area 10 of the King Khaled Military City in Al-Batin, KSA. under the supervision of the U.S. Corps of Engineers. This was after our sourcing around the world proves negative. The Light Control Panel I designed is electrically activated instead of the COE's manually-operated design. It proved ok that this design was copied and used in Area 9 and Area 11.
