Lawrence Bernstein
Five years at MIT’s Schools of Architecture and Industrial Management (Mechanical Engineering Option) followed by an apprenticeship under Frank Lloyd Wright. These cross disciplines were an ideal background for solving problems with cost effectiveness and aesthetic elegance. Though my career, I’ve worn 2 hats; architecture and creative patentable new product problem solving. For 4 years, directly under Justin Dart, the CEO of Dart Industries, I met with the leaders of his 40 subsidiaries (Tupperware, West Bend, Syroco, etc) directed to upgrade their existing products and find new ones using their in place manufacturing equipment. I previously mentioned my 2 decades consulting with Teltech’s Clients toward solving their unresolved problems. Also mentioned was a year as chief designer for Diker Moe Associates, inventing and developing a wide range of toys, home appliances and others. Re architecture, many cost effective buildings and 3 years as Chief Architect and Director of the Design Center for the multiple award winning new town, Linganore at Eaglehead in Maryland.
