Battery-Free iFind Locater Tags Harvest Ambient Energy

Battery-Free iFind Locater Tags Harvest Ambient Energy
May-27-14
The iFind tags join the growing ranks of item locater tabs, but their battery-free design makes them unique as well as extremely lightweight and thin.

The iFind communicates with a smartphone via Bluetooth at a range of up to 200 feet, and its patent-pending technologies allow it to harvest the electromagnetic energy around it and then store it in a specialized power bank. In addition to allowing the user to locate lost items with their smartphone, the iFind tags also include a Rope function, which will send an alert if a particular item is out of range (such as car keys) and the uHelp function, which lets friends get in on the search.

The iFind has already exceeded its funding goal on Kickstarter.
