Many people are aware that even appliances that are turned off can still be drawing power, but the hassle of having to unplug and then plug in the device keeps most of us from doing much about it. To help encourage more efficient energy-use, the Clack Plug makes it bit easier to cut the power to a device by building the switch into the outlet. The still-plugged in appliance can then be completely de-powered simply by flipping its plug while it remains in the outlet.
