EarFS Tech Controls Phones with Facial Expressions

EarFS Tech Controls Phones with Facial Expressions
Jul-17-17
Soon you could be dialing your smartphone with a smile, thanks to the EarFS technology from the team at Fraunhofer.

The EarFieldSensing (EarFS) technology relies on a small sensor fitted in a plug that slips into the ear canal. Once in place, the sensor can detect the muscular changes in the canal that occur when a person makes a facial expression, along with whole head gestures. Those changes and gestures can then be assigned to trigger a specific command on a paired smartphone.
