Easy Steering Hovercraft

Easy Steering Hovercraft
Aug-27-12
The aerospace firm Aerofex has created a hoverbike ready to ridden right away, even by first time users.

The hoverbike is powered by a pair of strong fans, and takes its origins from an abandoned 1960’s design. The development team improved on the earlier design’s lack of stability by creating a mechanical system controlled by two, knee-level bars that respond to the human driver’s natural sense of balance, allowing it to be controlled by the leaning motions of the pilot. For safety, test flights have currently been limited to about 30 mph and heights of 15 feet, though older versions of the craft could fly as fast as helicopters.

Currently, Aerofex plans to use the hovercraft vehicle as a test platform for unmanned drones.

It's a one man hovercraft without a skirt.

The only problem I can see is the amount of dust it kicks up. It would need to fly higher if being used in an urban enviornment

It's still a one man hovercraft which really only needs one lift fan, I think this is very uneconomical venture.
