Ebuggy Adds Battery Power to EVs

Ebuggy Adds Battery Power to EVs
Sep-20-12
The ebuggy e-Mobility concept trailer was designed as a ‘hitch and drive’ system to extend the range of electric cars to an infinite number of miles.

The ebuggy system would allow electric car users to pick up an ebuggy trailer at a relay service station along their route. The ebuggy would act as a range extender, powering the car from its battery rather than from the car’s own battery. Once the destination area is reached, the user can then return the ebuggy to a service station in the area before continuing on to the final destination on the car’s fully charged battery.

The ebuggy could also allow for the production electric cars with smaller batteries, since the device could be used to supplement travel outside the city.

Annoying but practical. Put batteries in trunk and lose that storage space but increase range. How many people use a EV as a load lugger or a works van ??
Give it as a dealer option - trunk or no trunk - you will be surprised how many people will take up the "no trunk" option.
