Empatica Embrace Detects Seizures

Recently receiving FDA approval, the wrist-worn device is equipped with sensors that track the electrodermal activity of the wearer’s skin. As well as detecting emotional states, such as stress, the Empatica’s AI can also determine when a grand mal or generalized tonic-clonic seizure is imminent—two of the most serious types of seizures. If the Embrace system detects such an event, it will automatically send an alert to predetermined contacts.
