The Evoware packaging can last for up to two years, and can be used to hold foods as well as other products, such as soaps or toiletries. The seaweed-based material is almost tasteless and odorless, and can be heat sealed and printed with a label. According to the developer, the unique packaging will also offer a new source of income to local seaweed farmers in Indonesia.
