The Gerber Daily Carry Hook Knife features a 2-inch stainless steel hook blade protected by a sheath. Users cut with the knife by placing their finger through the hole and thumb against the thumb grip, which provides a sturdy grip.

Although designed as an emergency tool for cutting free of seatbelts or constraining clothing, the knife also has its share of everyday uses, such as cutting fishing line or trimming a tarp while fishing and camping.
