Glowbelt LED Night-Safety Belt

Jul-23-14 Created to make it a bit safer for pedestrians and bikers to travel the roads at night, the Glowbelt wraps you in a belt of light visible from over 600 feet away.

Developed by the UK-based BMC Innovations in conjunction with the road charity Brake, the Glowbelt is a one-size-fits-all, retractable belt outfitted with 13 powerful micro LEDS. A pair of coin batteries will power the LEDs for up to 60 hours, flashing a visual alert that can be seen from 656 feet away.

According to the Glowbelt's developers, the number and arrangement of the LEDs also makes them more visible to the human eye than conventional reflective clothing, which can only be seen within a narrow field of view.
