The HandEnergy invention puts the power in the palm of your hand, generating outlet-level electricity with a twist of the wrist
While there are other human-powered generators on the market, the HandEnergy stands out in that it can be used with one hand, allowing the person to continue to operate their device with the other. The HandEnergy is activated by first triggering the starter ring to set the rotor spinning, upon which it only needs to moved in small circles to keep the rotor spinning. The generated electricity can be stored in the unit’s battery or sent directly to the device to be charged.
At $69, assuming the price of electricity of 12.87 cents per KWh (avg. Residential - September 2016), this product would only payout from energy output for recharging 1800mAh of capacity everyday after more than 9700 years! And this is ignoring the interest rate!
Since there are power-balls for as low as $5, wouldn't it be a better investment to get one of those and a powerbank? Posted by Anon ymous on December 8, 2016
