The Hektometer diving goggles release pressure to allow divers to go deeper without full-face masks.
Typical goggles are not suitable for freediving at depth, because pressure will build up inside them and risk rupturing the blood vessels in the eyes.
As an alternative to full-face masks, which require the diver to blow air into the mask to equalize pressure, the more compact and comfortable Hektometer goggles are equipped with a silicon membrane pierced with small holes. As the diver moves deeper, the building pressure will cause the water to enter the goggles, compressing the membranes to create a smaller airspace and prevent a vacuum from forming.
I want to buy the Hektometer diving goggles but I couldn't find a online shop. Please let me know where or which website to buy. Thanks a lot^^ Posted by ROMEO JUNG on April 26, 2019
