High-School Girls Create Solar Powered Tent for the Homeless

High-School Girls Create Solar Powered Tent for the Homeless
Feb-22-18
A team of young inventors has created a solar-powered tent that could help house the homeless.

Created by a twelve-woman team from San Fernando High School under the guidance of DIY Girls, the solar-powered tent is equipped with a pair of USB ports, one micro-UBS port, and button-powered lights. The team also tested a UVC light on a timer that could be used to sanitize water, and the entire kit will pack down to the size of a large backpack.
