Integrated Wind Powered EV Charger

Aug-16-12 The Sanya Skypump is the world's first fully integrated wind-powered EV charging station, now fully functional in Barcelona, Spain.

The charging station combines the vertical 4K wind turbines of Urban Green Energy with the electric vehicle charging technology of GE within a single unit. Made of galvanized steel, the EV tower stands 42 feet high, has a noise level of 38 decibels, and features a 77 watt LED light.

According to Nick Blitterswyk, CEO of UGE, the Sanya Skypump has been receiving interest from companies worldwide who are looking for a more sustainable energy option, and units will be installed later this year in both the US and Austrailia.
