Nissan’s Intelligent Rear View Mirror invention can see through obstacles that might block the driver’s rear view.The mirror, soon to make its appearance in the Armada SUV, works by communicating with a camera in the rear of the vehicle. With a simple switch, the driver can choose between normal glass viewing and a live video feed of the scene behind the car. This allows the driver to have a clear view of the road behind them, even if their rear seat is filled with balloons or passengers.

Can parking areas already be seen from above with navigators? Shopping centers could have their outdoor safety cameras in poles and navigators would receive a real time map.
