Kengura Drive-From-Wheelchair Car

Kengura Drive-From-Wheelchair Car
Jul-25-12
The Kengura is the first electric vehicle designed specifically to be driven by wheelchair bound operators, and is being touted as the first drive-from-wheelchair electric car.

The Kenguru features a single, rear, remote-controlled door for direct wheelchair access. The fiberglass hulled vehicle is extremely compact, and the two rear-mounted, battery-powered, 2-kW motors are able to propel the Kenguru for up to 68 miles at a maximum speed of 28 mph. The steering device is based on motorcycle-style handlebars, and Community Cars is currently seeking funding through RocketHub to develop a joystick-controlled version.

Is this car available with an ordinary seat and steering wheel for my elderly mother-in-law who does not use a wheelchair?
