LightLead Guitar Cables Transmit Clearer Sounds Via Light

LightLead Guitar Cables Transmit Clearer Sounds Via Light

Created help guitarists send the cleanest sound possible to their amplifiers, the LightLead relies on fiber optic cables to eliminate distortion and interference problems.

The LightLead was inspired by what sounds like a scene out of Spinal Tap, when an on-stage guitarist began receiving radio signals through his cable. Sound engineer David Holmes addressed the problem by developing his patent-pending cables, which are equipped with extremely high-density, small-diameter fiber optic cables. The cables, being touted as the first analogue jack-to-jack guitar cables, require no modifications to be used with existing equipment and provide zero capacitance and loading (eliminating hisses and static). They are also safer than traditional cables and have an almost limitless lifespan.

According to the developers, the cables could also be adapted for used in microphones, speakers and other areas of the audio industry.
