Miito Single Cup Induction Heater

Miito Single Cup Induction Heater
Nov-06-14
The Miito single-cup water heater re-imagines the electric kettle to save both energy and time.

Created by Nils Chudy, the Miito is designed to be intuitive and easy to use. The system works through induction heating; simply place any non-ferrous vessel, such as a teacup or a full teapot, on the induction base and insert the Miito rod. The induction plate will switch on automatically when the rod is placed inside the vessel, shifting to standby when the liquid has boiled and then turning off when the rod is removed and placed directly on the plate.

The Miito has been shortlisted for the 2014 James Dyson Award.
