NeuroSigma Monarch Treats ADHD without Drugs

NeuroSigma Monarch Treats ADHD without Drugs
Apr-24-19
The Monarch external Trigeminal Nerve Stimulation from NeuroSigma offers a drug-free way to treat children with ADHD.

Already proven effective in treating PTSD, epilepsy and depression, the Monarch is worn on the forehead while the patient is sleeping, where it will deliver a low-energy electric current to the trigeminal nerve. The treatment is available by prescription only and caregivers are expected to assist the child during the procedure, which is said to deliver a mild, tingling sensation.

The Monarch system is indicated for patients between 7 and 12 not currently on ADHD medication and is the first of its kind to receive FDA approval for the treatment of ADHD.
