Onecue Replaces Remotes with Gesture Control

Onecue Replaces Remotes with Gesture Control
Nov-26-14
The Onecue lets users control a range of home electronics with hand gestures, eliminating the need for a cluster of remote controls.

Offered by Eyesight, the sleek Onecue is designed to be clipped to the top of the monitor or sat upon a shelf, where its camera will watch for any command gestures within its line of sight. Although developed primarily to control audio-visual equipment and other devices on the same WiFi network, the Onecue can also be used with other smart home electronics, such as Nest thermostats and Hue LED bulbs.

Devices can be controlled with a variety hand gestures. A wave of the hand will 'wake' the device, and LED illuminated icons can be scrolled through and chosen by moving the hand left or right. Other gestures, such as opening and closing the hand or making a 'shush' motion, will launch a program or mute the entire system instantly.
