Pedal-free Fliz Bike

Pedal-free Fliz Bike
Sep-07-12
The Fliz Bike is made for coasting, featuring body-harness to support the rider and eliminating the conventional seat and pedals.

German designers Tom Hambrock and Juri Spetter built upon the velocipede concept to develop the Fliz Bike, which they designed to promote urban biking by making the ride more comfortable and ergonomic. The rider hangs from a harness attached to the carbon fiber frame, and must either run or coast downhill in order to begin moving. Once the bike has built up enough momentum, the rider can then rest their legs on the back wheel and ride while steering with the handlebars.

The Fliz Bike won a Merit Award at the International Cycle Show in Taipei.
