Phorm iPad Mini Case Creates Bubbles of Tactile Keys

Phorm iPad Mini Case Creates Bubbles of Tactile Keys
Feb-16-15
The Phorm iPad Mini case creates physical keys on demand, providing a tactile—and therefore more accurate—typing experience.

Created by Tactus, the key to the Phorm case's keyboard-generation lies in the microfluidic front panel, which will route liquid stored in the bevel of the case through hair-thin channels to specific areas of the panel. Once in place, the liquid will gather to create the protrusions that serve as the keys, adding a tactile experience to the tablet's touchscreen. The case can be activated by sliding a panel on the back, and requires no battery power to create the keys.
