Pixie Points Tags Guide You to Lost Objects

Feb-25-15 The Pixie Points sensors take advantage of augmented reality to guide users to lost objects.

The Pixie Points adhesive smart tags can be attached to any object that tends to become lost, including toys, gadgets and pets. Once in place, different sensors communicate with each other to build a "personal digital map" of the tagged objects, which is then synced to the Pixie app.

To locate an object, the owner simply indicates the tagged item they are looking for and scans the area with their smartphone. If the item is within range, an arrow and distance-to-go guide will appear on the screen to guide the user toward the object. If the user still can't locate the item, they can switch to the "augmented reality" feature app, which uses the camera to display an image of the area with an X that marks the missing item.
