ReCell Spray-On Skin from Avita

Sep-25-18 Avita’s ReCell system “Spray-On Skin” uses a sample of the patient’s own skin to treat severe burns.

Designed to treat serious burns in adult patients, the Spray-On Skin relies on Avita’s ReCell technology, which uses a sample of healthy skin to create the “Spray-On Skin.” The solution is made by separating the skin sample and treating it to ensure it contains essential wound-healing cells, and then spraying it evenly on the wound.

The ReCell Spray-On skin requires much less skin to be harvested than conventional autografts, resulting in greater patient comfort and less associated costs.
