Scubus S Heads-Up Display Diving Mask

Scubus S Heads-Up Display Diving Mask
Nov-07-14
The Scubus S takes heads-up displays to new depths by embedding the HUD—and a handy chat feature—inside a diving mask.

The Scubus S, which will be launching a crowdfunding mission soon, is designed to make scuba diving both safer and more fun. The mask is equipped with a heads-up display that will show depth, water temperate and the time, and also features a chat function that works by using acoustic wave propagation (Bluetooth does not work well under the deep blue). To get around the somewhat unreliable connections of acoustic wave systems, the mask will be equipped with around 20 pre-set messages that cover most underwater situations (including a call for help and a request to take a photo).

The Scubus S is also equipped with an HD video camera, 12 megapixel still photo capturing capabilities, and an LED flashlight.

When will this be available. Since Oceanic dropped the Datamask computer there is nothing available on the market that come close. My Datamask failed and I have now had to revert back to a wrist mounted device and prescription mask due to my short sightedness. By the way does the computer have alarms that use low pitch. High pitch deafness is quite common in older divers and most computers use high frequency alarms to alert divers.
