Offered by Fisher Price, the Smart Connect Cradle 'n Swing pairs with a smartphone app to allow parents to select between six different rocking speeds, activate the overhead bird mobile, and choose from an array of songs and nature sounds. The device can be adjusted to rock from side to side or back and forth, and can also be removed from its base station and rocked by hand.

Though the idea of a remote-controlled baby rocker is a bit disconcerting, babies often cry simply in the hopes of being picked up. A remote rocker could soothe them to sleep, or at least give busy parents time to tackle a few other duties at home.
