Tempescope Puts the Weather on Your Desk

Tempescope Puts the Weather on Your Desk
Jun-05-15
The Tempescope ambient physical display brings the forecast indoors, simulating the weather—rain or shine—in a small, desktop box.

Created by Ken Kawamoto, a part-time inventor, the WiFi-enabled Tempescope checks a region’s weather via the internet, then simulates the conditions inside the transparent box. The displayed weather is not in real-time (the device only checks the forecasts once each hour) but the visual displays of sun, rain, clouds and even lightning make up for the delay.

Kawamoto has released the open-source plans for the Tempescope, and hopes to release a commercial version in the near future.
