TruthBrush Helps Design the Perfect Toothbrush

TruthBrush Helps Design the Perfect Toothbrush
Feb-10-18
The TruthBrush monitors brushing habits to help developers create a better brush.

Developed by the team at Cambridge Design Partnership, the TruthBrush’s array of small sensors, including strain gauges and accelerometers, gather information on the way users brush their teeth. That data is then analyzed by algorithms to determine factors such as speed, amount and force of brushing, as well as time of day, which could in turn help developers of manual toothbrushes create brushes better suited to different needs—such as the elderly who may require a different handle to compensate for reduced dexterity.
