A breakthrough 3D-printing technology uses UV light to print working electronic circuits.
Developed by a team from the University of Nottingham, the single-step process relies on insulating polymetric inks and conductive metallic inks to print the electronic circuits. The inks are solidified in under a minute using ultraviolet light, which significantly speeds the process of printing multiple layers.
The team hopes the new technology will open the door to printing more complex electrical systems.
