Kiwifruit Vine Health Uses Open Innovation to Find Ways of Combating Psa-V

Kiwifruit Vine Health is using open innovation methods to obtain the best scientific methods to combat Psa-V in the fruit grown in New Zealand, according to the Zespri General Manager of science and innovation, Dr. David Tanner.

The group welcomes ideas and suggestions from across the globe to help control the Psa-V. The group has been in touch with the Chinese as well in this regard. However, while a number of bio-assays have been done to identify potential tolerance to the bacterial disease, the varieties are being further assessed and studied.
