See diversity differently, what it means and why it matters

ABSTRACT:
Why it matters that we learn to see diversity differently

Recent conversations about gender inequality reflect the kind of challenges that led me to write my first book. One of the problems it seeks to help address is development of alternatives to the traditions of investing considerable resources into dealing primarily with the symptom of a problem without facing the why. This has proven time and again to be an inefficient application of resources, money and otherwise. Think of investing in a better bucket rather than repairing the leak in response to a boat sinking because it is taking on water. Taken further more buckets and people to manage them would seem a logical progression using this way of thinking (mental model).
